Joaniko Kohchi, MPhil, LCSW, IECMH-E® is the Director of the Institute for Parenting and Postgraduate Programs in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at Adelphi University, where she enjoys teaching and supervising graduate and postgraduate students as well as clinicians in the community. She is an endorsed Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Mentor with both clinical and academic experience spanning several regions of the United States.

Her clinical work focuses on children and families who have survived traumatic events often leading to out-of-home care and court involvement. She is a trainer in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0-5), and a facilitator for the Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children and Families.
