Rubaiya Rahman , as the founder of the South Asian Autism organization promoting empowerment and skill building initiatives for the vulnerable population, is responsible for designing programs to retain, develop, and advance understanding of Autism and related triggering factors.
Ms. Rahman has been recognized as a women's rights advocate, especially focusing on disability rights and work/life challenges. She is a frequent public speaker. Among her many accomplishments, Rubaiya started a South Asian Autism Foundation to bridge the gap between the Disability population and the mainstream population. Besides that, she is lobbying for a one stop center for Autism for South Asians in NY, USA.
